OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

The level of accommodation is high to excellent. In the Guesthouses or B & B`s ( Bed & Breakfast ) you will find plenty of personal attention. After an enjoyable day out or during the tour, it often feels like coming home. Lobecotours visits all accommodation regularly - a ‘must’, in our view, if we are to deliver tailor-made work.

GUESTHOUSES / B & B`S
During your tour, in many cases you will spend the night in cosy and sometimes very luxurious guesthouses. These guesthouses are often on a small scale, and very attractively fitted out. The owners are hospitable and will try to make you feel at home.
Generally speaking the guesthouses are in beautiful spots and in many cases have a swimming pool.
An extensive breakfast is a standard inclusion in your overnight stay.

REST CAMPS
South Africa is home to large number of National Parks, the best known of which is probably the Kruger National Park. Covering a total area of 2 million hectares, this is as large as the whole of Belgium.

In the parks you will find rest camps. The rest camps provide simple accommodation in the form of rondavels or tents. These will often have two or three beds, a toilet, shower and sometimes a refrigerator and air conditioning. Meals are provided in the restaurant on the site, where simple breakfasts, lunches and dinners are served. Most rest camps also have a small supermarket, where for example you can shop for a typical South African ‘braai’ (barbecue). In general all the accommodation has ‘braai’ facilities.

SAFARI LODGES
A safari lodge is synonymous with wild animals and safaris. These luxurious lodges are situated in private wild animal reserves. This is a unique way to make your acquaintance with the African animal world. From these lodges you will participate in game-drives in open Land Rovers, under the expert guidance of a ranger. The ranger and a tracker will do their utmost to bring you as close to the wild animals as possible.

HOME

HOTELS
South Africa has a variety of hotels in different price classes. These are mainly to be found in the major cities. In smaller towns and villages, hotels are few and far between, as in these areas it is customary to elect for a guesthouse or a self-catering house.

HOUSES (self-catering accommodation)
Renting a house is a pleasant solution for a longer stay.
Ideal for families and groups, it is an option for a few days, for example after a tour; but also to spend a few months here in the winter. The houses are often uniquely situated, fully furnished and often include a weekly maid, garden and pool service.
Most of the houses have a swimming pool, and some even have a jacuzzi too.
